The Weekend Special features the main events in the Hague region and its surroundings, suitable for expatriates and the international community.
This weekend’s highlights include a Latin dance party in Seiderpark, North Sea Jazz in Rotterdam, Happy Days in English by Samuel Beckett and the ‘free’ Westerpop Festival in Delft.
The opening of the traveling theater festival ‘de Parade’, a British comedy night, Dhrupad’s charity concert and much more will take place this weekend.

On July 7th, Latin in the Park is back! Summer buzzes in an atmospheric night on Theater Island. Of course, there will also be plenty of dancing.
Master percussionist Gerardo Rosales and his 12-piece salsa orchestra return to pay tribute to the greats of Colombian salsa. Featuring artists such as Grupo Niche, Fruko y Sus Tessos and Joe Arroyo. Mabeli Escobar, a professional dancer from Cali, Colombia, conducts a Salsa Carreña workshop to loosen his hip joints in advance. After that, the orchestra and his DJ Virgil EL Gigante will start the party.
The first performers of the 46th NN Northsea Jazz Festival, which will be held from July 7th to 9th, have been announced. This year’s cast includes Lizzo, Stormzy and Tom Jones, along with Buddy Guy, Gabriels, Jacob Banks, Jill Scott, Little Sims, Loyle Kerner, Teskey Brothers and Van Morrison. Legendary jazz masters such as Jan Garbarek, Wynton Marsalis’ Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and Pat Metheny Sideeye stand out.
An English version of “Happy Days” by Samuel Beckett will be performed in The Hague in July. Described as one of his “40 Greatest Plays of All Time” (The Independent), Happy Days is a visual and literary masterpiece. Classical Theater His company’s first production is a rare opportunity to see an English version of Samuel Beckett’s 20th century classic in Holland.
